Cindy’s S.T.A.R.S. System

Cindy's S.T.A.R.S SystemSafe Place – This is the first step in the coaching process and the most important. If you do not feel safe in the space of coaching, nothing will happen on your goal/transformation/breakthrough.

Talking/Discover – Once the safe place has been established, it is time to talk about what you want to achieve. This is also a time where we build confidence in our relationship.

Research – Now it’s time to do some research on the goal(s) you want to achieve. What you already have? What do you need to make this goal happen?

Plan/Work Plan/Adjust – Once the research has been done, it’s time to set up a plan for achieving your goal. The plan should be in small enough steps that you feel you are moving forward, but not so large that the plan becomes overwhelming. It is also important at this stage to put dates on the various steps. Once movement has begun on the plan, there will be a need to adjust as you discover what works and what does not work.

Celebrate – Celebrating is very important. Without celebrations, there is inadequate recognition of your progress. Realistically, viewing your achievements is a critical part of your overall success, and helps you to keep moving forward.

Note: Repeat process for each goal/transformation/breakthrough desired. :-D

What Is the S.T.A.R.S. System?

What does S.T.A.R.S. stand for?

S.T.A.R.S. is my acronym for Self-Expression, Transformation, Action, Realization, and Success. It represents what I do, and what my clients achieve.

How do I facilitate change?

As a coach, I will do this by providing a safe/warm place for you. Once this environment has been established, we can begin to discuss your goals/dreams/vision. We will then move through the above coaching model.

Who are the people I coach?

My ideal client is a woman micro-business owner. She can be a Virtual Assistant, a coach, or the owner of any other micro business. It does not matter if she is new to being a business owner, or if she has been in business for a period of time. The important thing is she is a micro-business owner and ready to move her business forward.

What are the issues and problems my ideal client’s have?

  • Understand they are now a business owner and not an employee.
  • How to: put systems and procedures in place; how to have an online presence; how to market their business; who to market their business to; and how to stay motivated.
  • Understand that as a business owner (and especially a micro-business owner) there are many hats to wear and knowing when to wear each one.
  • Learning how to ask for help, and getting the help.
  • Surrounding themselves with supportive people.
  • Overcoming the fear of, “I’m not good enough, or smart enough to do _______.”

What am I going to do to facilitate change?

  • Create safe/warm place to dream and discuss goal.
  • Listen.
  • Question.
  • Provide exercises on envisioning what your life will look like with this new goal in place.
  • Suggest appropriate activities to move you toward your goal.
